Weather aside, how did March come and go in your life this year?

View 500 Answers

For the people who keep updated with my journal, this is pretty much a recap of my month. I'm writing this primarily because this is such a HUGE event in my life, and though I'll remember it forever, I still want to write it down.

March was pretty eventful for me this year. All in the span of about three weeks or so of March, I got into the most defining argument with my mother, which caused me to move out of her house completely. After a week and a half or so of staying with one of my best friends and her family, I finally felt that I wanted to get out on my own, walk on my own two feet, and start living my life.

So I called my dad.

I told him I was ready to start a new chapter of my life. I was ready to start doing what I needed to do, learn what I needed to learn, and ... well, get a life. My dad obviously liked this idea, and he's told me several times since then that he's absolutely delighted that I made this decision. My bond with my father had been severely severed for years due to confusion between my mom and dad's mutual hate for each other, and that bond's finally beginning to return. Hell, today I called my mom, got frustrated with her, and called my dad and felt BETTER. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Anyway, since then, he's helped me MASSIVELY.

In a matter of three weeks, I've got an apartment, a moving date, a quote for car insurance, a car on the way, and a job interview for a full-time job I have an EXTREMELY high chance of attaining. I don't want to get my hopes up, but ... my chances. They're HIGH. I'm exited about paying my own bills. I'm exited about living on my own. I'm EXCITED, and optimistic, and confident. More confident in myself than I have been in a LONG time. I've been happier during this time than I have been in ... God, too long.

March was a good month for me, overall. I'm starting a new chapter in my life. :)

And I'd like to once again, thank all of my friends and precious people for being so supportive of me during this entire time. ♥ It's not gone without hardship, naturally, but It's for the best, and I'm totally convinced of that. :D
